OUR MISSION
iSellMyTextbook was created to provide college students with the opportunity to buy and sell used textbooks directly from other students at their own school. Without the bookstore taking profits, student are able to
buy textbooks for less while
selling them for more (compared to bookstore prices and buy back offers). The purpose of the site has been and will always be to help college students.
HOW IT WORKS
The entire transaction happens in THREE easy steps:
- Sellers list their used textbooks for sale on the site
- Buyers search the database for used textbooks and choose which one to buy
- The buyer and seller agree on a time and location to meet to make the transaction.
The more students from a school that use the site the better the selection of used textbooks and the faster textbooks will sell, so be sure to invite your friends!
WHAT WE DON’T DO
We don't process transactions. This site is a database for sellers and buyers at the same school to locate each other and make transactions in person. This protects both the buyer and the seller. Buyers can examine the textbook before making the final purchase and sellers do not have to worry about not being paid.
WHAT WE GET & WHY WE HAVE ADS
We designed this site for the purpose of helping fellow college students save money on used textbooks. Our goal is to keep the site free for students by serving limited ads on our site, however we do have costs. If you appreciate our service and would like to help keep our service free we ask that you click on any ads that interest you (
NO ads contain spyware or adware). All proceeds will go to site costs and improving the site.
